Calcium Chloride powder should be stored in tightly closed containers kept in a cool, dry and ventilated area. Calcium Chloride corrodes steel containers and thereby proper precautions should be taken. Empty containers can be unsafe due to the presence of traces of calcium chloride residue. Therefore, the containers should be either methodically discharged or reused.
